I am writing you to let you know the experience I had working with one of your attorneys, William Salazar. What an AMAZING lawyer. Everything he said he could for me he did it.
I actually came to your firm after firing my old attorney from a San Antonio Law Firm. I come from the financial world, and was referred to original law firm I hired by a lot of wealthy and influential individuals, and I paid nearly $20,000 to fight a baseless protective order. Unfortunately, the attorney who’s an associate attorney the San Antonio Law Firm I originally hired, either didn’t believe me or didn’t care to represent me, but either way, he was not a good advocate, and made several attempts to talk me into coming to an “agreed” protective order. He even tried to convince me to looking at the situation from the woman’s perspective, the woman who filed the protective order. I was floored and flabbergasted.
After chatting with several family friends who are either judges or attorneys, I listened to my gut and fired him, and looked up William Salazar with the Law Office of Shawn C. Brown because he actually defended a protective order for a separate client against the same woman, and I’m so happy that I did. He not only got the DA to non-suit it, he also told me that I’d be able to get my own protective order against the her for harassment. I was notified that the 2-year harassment protective order William got granted for me was mailed out to her yesterday. It was a long journey from January to today.
Everything he said he could do for me, he did it. But, the most important part, to me at least, was that he was an amazing advocate and explained why he believed me. He was patient with me when I would get frustrated, he kept me informed every step of the way, and he provided amazing counsel. Working with the orginal attorney I firied, I felt like I was working against two lawyers, my own lawyer and the DA’s office. It was extremely scary, confusing, and frustrating because I paid him so much and there was a potential criminal element to it that he didn’t really seem to care about or believe me.
To illustrate, the woman(suspect), in my opinion, the woman made several constructed efforts to get me arrested including planting legal TCH gummies, and my attorney I fired before hiring William Salazar said in his analysis in so many words “she either planted it, but why would she do it, or you, and she has a strong case that you did it because her claims of stalking.” The woman also made additional claims of me hacking into her bank account, which later changed to her uncles and then to her ex husband’s which were all confirmed by the bank to not have any active accounts now or in the past. My attorney I fired said after woman called the law firm I fired personally to make the allegations, “whether the account was hacked or not, she’s afraid and fears that you’re doing it. You can see from her perspective why she might be frieghtened and why she called our office, right?”
After that conversation, that’s when I knew I had to switch to your law firm (The Law Offices of Shawn C. Brown). I know this might be a bit long winded, but for someone who doesn’t get into trouble, and didn’t understand what was happening, William Salazar not only alleviated those fears, but he also acted, in part, as a therapist, just listening to me and trying to provide explanations for the woman’s behavior and letting me know what to expect during the legal process.
When Will called me on 3/26/24 to tell me that the DA’s office was non-suiting the baseless protective order, I couldn’t believe it at first after being told what I was told and preparing myself for having a protective order placed on me and possibly facing criminal stalking/harassment charges.
Will was worth every penny!
