The blood drive will be hosted at our downtown San Antonio office at 540 S. St Mary’s St San Antonio, Texas 78205.
The community blood supply is in need of blood donors to help rebuild the blood supply after the Fourth of July holiday. The community blood supply has seen a significant decline in the last few weeks, as many donors have been on summer vacation.
Summer is already a tough time for blood collection due to vacations, travel, and fewer organized blood drives. The demand for blood only increases during summer holidays, further straining the available supply. This combination of factors could potentially lead to critical shortages in our local hospitals and healthcare facilities.
To address this pressing need, South Texas Blood & Tissue has announced the launch of the “A Pint for Pint” campaign. In exchange for a “pint” of blood, all donors will receive a voucher for a “pint” of H-E-B creamy creations ice cream. In addition, donors who give blood at a blood drive will receive a luck of the draw H-E-B gift card valued at up to $150
