William is a San Antonio native and has deep roots throughout the community of San Antonio. From a young age he grew up playing baseball which taught him how hard work and persistence can pay off which developed his love for competition. Will graduated from O’Connor High School where he was honored with 1st Team All-District for his performance on the baseball team and led his team to back-to-back district championships. He graduated from the University of Texas in 2014 majoring in psychology with minors in Classic Cultures and Italian. He earned his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2017. While at SMU, William was a leading member of the Sports Negotiation Team competing in the 2016 National Sports Law Competition in San Diego.

Will Salazar is a seasoned criminal defense attorney and former Bexar County Prosecutor. He worked in the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office from 2019 to 2020 and tried dozens of cases as a prosecutor with much success. After 2020, Will left the DA’s Office to pursue his own practice focusing on criminal defense. He gained valuable trial experience in Comal and Bexar County. Will has both been able to get not guilty verdicts and has suppressed blood evidence in cases involving high levels of alcohol in the blood and rollover accidents in Comal County. William zealously advocates for his client’s rights, tactfully engages with the State in defense of those charged with crimes, and persuasively argues to judge and jury. William has also defended his own successful motion to suppress on appeal in the 7th Court of Appeals and takes pride in his legal research and writing skills.

William invests himself into every one of his clients’ cases giving genuine care and attention to the needs of his clients. Will has a passion for people and for painting his client’s stories for prosecutors so that they are viewed as the people they truly are. He has earned the trust of countless clients and colleagues alike by relying on his innate sense of justice to guide his decision-making. This combined with his competitive nature and persistence has produced countless client victories from dismissals to favorable verdicts at trial. He is a member of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Will was recently voted a Scene in SA Magazine’s Rising Star Attorney of 2023.
